Autonomy (Independence)

Autonomy, or a higher level of independence, for fully trained and supported employees empowers them to be more innovative and creative. Autonomy for poorly trained and unsupported employees fosters uncertainty and incompetence.

Ensure your employees have adequate knowledge, training, and confidence.
Assess the amount of autonomy they are comfortable with and allow them to earn more as their comfort level grows.
Follow-up as comfort levels change.
