Delivering Health Promotion
Does our company use newer methods of delivering a health promotion program rather than older, traditional methods?
- Develop and launch a dedicated wellness intranet that is a comprehensive, accurate and practical resource for health promotion. Update the intranet with personal stories of employees who have benefited from accessing the site. Be sure to protect the privacy of employees.
- Implement annual health-risk appraisals for employees that will identify emerging physical and mental health issues that may require professional intervention.
- Empower employees to monitor, identify and seek professional help for emerging physical or mental health issues. Encourage employees to watch for and reach out to fellow employees who may appear to be suffering in silence from a physical or mental health issue.
